in which ashley's parents visit and shenanigans ensue

Parental visits went pretty much okay, besides a few snafu-type issues when White People from Middle America meet Hippie Chinese People from the West Coast.

More basely stated, I am not entirely certain that my parents got along with Kingland's parents, and after talking to my mom, I sort of understand why. I just got off the phone with my mom, and we talked about that very thing for approximately two hours. My mom's sentiments from just one visit are pretty much in line with what I have been thinking for the better part of a year. King and I are moving out of Crazy Chinese Hippie Territory soon anyway, so basically I am saying WHATEVER.

Regardless, here are some photos from the visit with my crazy parental units, as well as some random stuff that we took. Enjoy, Internets!

The day before my parents arrived, my 360 decided it was time to eat my Oblivion disc. As this is really the only game I play on the system (Besides, you know, like, Zuma,) I was a little upset. We have already replaced it. Hooray!

This was on BART, right after we picked my parents up. My dad has a very interesting look on his face.

Kingland was sitting across from us with mom and dad's luggage, trying to ask it out on a date. (He is such a slut.)

The second day of the visit, we took mom and dad to the city. Here they are in Japan town, across the street from me. Kingland looks like he doesn't belong, and also that he is totally thinking mean, hipstery thoughts about tourists while he sips his coffee.

I think my mom said something stupid hereabouts, and so I stuck my tongue out at her. (I am probably the most charming fuck in the entirety of the world.)

Do I really need to explain this? No. No I do not. (We did touristy things. As I have yet to do a lot of touristy things, it was pretty fun!)

We took them for a walk on the Golden Gate. It was pretty foggy! Fog makes for nifty photos.

This was later, while we were waiting for a table for dinner. (My parents are also vying for the position of Most Charming Fucks.)

Mom took this picture of me and King whilst playing with my camera. It looks to me like one of those grainy pretentious photos that belong in liner notes. Behold my upside-down jeans. BEHOLD THEM!

The second day they were here we went to Monterey. Kingland and I got the MOST taffies. We still have a lot of them. (I heart taffy.)

Here me and my mom are at Ashley and King's Place for Games. We are playing Puzzle Fighter. Mom looks worried. I have my 'Les' get serious' face on. My dad just looks confused.

We took this one outside the resteraunt where we had dinner with King's family. I have always thought it pretty hilarious that it says 'Oriental' in sparkly letters on the door of this place.
