my very own birthday thing

I recently had a situation occur where I really wanted something, so I did one of those 'this-is-my-birthday-present-to-myself' things and bought it.

This works out because of two things.

1) I recently got my a hefty refund cheque from les government du federal.

2) It is quite honestly my birthday pretty damned quick here.

I feel more or less validated about this also, as my previous ipod (the 512mb shuffle,) is being donated to my mom so that she has something simple and awesome to use for early-morning jogs on her treadmill.

EVERYONE GOES HOME HAPPY.

(As a sidenote, I used this to come up with the name 'Mighty Defender: iPowerzam.' for my shiny new toy. I feel pretty good about this particular choice of denomination.)

TO: Mighty Defender: iPowerzam

RE: Super glorious activating. Jumping up the action. Etc.

Dear Mr Defender, it has come to our attention that your actions of late have proven more hurtful than helpful. Gigantigator, the giant mecha-alligator, WAS causing havoc and we DID need a little help in taking him down and out but we find that your "helping" was just as distructive as the fiend you sought to destroy. Please cease and desist. Thank you. Also, we find your wearing the underwear on the outside of your trousers disturbing.
